The work of American photographer Diane Arbus is on display here in Paris at Le Jeu de Paume until February 5, 2012. ?The exhibition of black and white photographs shows the raw reality of life in America, particularly in New York in the 1960s. Her controversial work was even?criticized?by Norman Mailer as saying ?Giving a camera to Diane Arbus is like putting a live grenade in the hands of a child.”
This is the first presentation in France that will contain most of her well known work but will also show photographed never yet displayed in France.
