Japanese Bento canteen styled restaurant Nanashi has been on the lips of many as of late – and needless to say as a lover of Bentos I had to try it out. Let me give you guys the low-down from this weeks’ quick lunch visit.
The noisy lunch crowd was creating a high school ambiance that was slightly, sweetly, nostalgic and perhaps a little bit too overwhelming all at once.
Once seated we ordered the Bento special of the day (14 Eu) and a Shirashi (17 Eu) from a very pleasant waitress. Read more and see more photos after the jump…
I had the fish Bento and it was really nothing special. I felt like I’d just had a healthy lunch but couldn’t really taste much as the fish was quite bland and I didn’t think they were creative enough with the mixture of veggies. Perhaps, it was just a bad day to try Nanashi.
But I’m willing to go back and thy their vegan cakes and appetizers – which looked so good!
