Fancy my surprise skipping along my street to see a new bagel bakery here in Paris! Whaaaaattt! When did this happen? Bagelstein’s window display called me in. Look at these lovely looking freshly made bagels of all kinds. I was like a big kid in a well-stocked bagel store, complete with cold cuts, Iced-Tea and photos of Michael Jackson (and other celebrities) on the wall. Oh, my heart was warming up – it feels like I was in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The bagels are made each day and range from 2 Euros to 6 Euros depending on what you put in it. I kept mine simple with some Philadelphia Cream Cheese on whole-wheat bagel for 2.20 Euros. My son had a fruit salad for 4 Euros. Lunch specials are available for 6Eus or 8.50Eus with Vitaminwater.
My son ran towards the bar stools facing Rue Dussoubs and I cozied inside to a warm cup of hot chocolate and noticed that they had a selection of Root Beer and Dr. Pepper!
Go check them out if you love bagels, miss Root Beer or feeling a bit homesick for your fave bagel sandwich.
