Buvette Paris: Small plates, big splash

Buvette Paris review photosSmall plates of food have never been a friend of mine when I go cialis canadian pharmacy to restaurants (except if I’m in Spain of course!).

Most times, it’s not even the small plates that makes me feel cheated out of a perfectly wholesome meal, it’s all the other so-called “foodies” who are in all honestly generally contented to try out all sort of artistic concoctions from the most recent “it chef” digging deep in their wallets for stuff that could have easily been prepared with sub par ingredients by someone who doesn’t know two licks about consistency, structure or taste. I’ve seen this at a couple “Nouveau Bistros” in Paris. I try them once and never go back.

Buvette in Pigalle is the exception, not only will I be going back. I’ll be taking along as many people as I can and will do my part to share it with you the web-o-sphere one of my now favorite restaurants in Paris! ?Nothing is overdone, nothing is pretentious, the food is great and diverse, perfectly prepared and presented and worth everything you pay per plate. Finally food democracy that doesn’t make you feel like shit at the end of the night when you eat well and see the bill.

My friends and I were six in total and took one of the largest tables in the resto by the door. Sitting down to a table welcoming with nuts of all sorts to crack on while we make our wine selection and pretend to gaze on the wine list as we chit-chat. ?When we were finally informed of the days special and reviewed the menu we started with a bottle of wine, two plates each , well three if you count the desserts, and we we’re so happy (someone surprised with the meal, as we we’re a bit hesitant that this place would be another hipster trap!). ?The decor was warm with details like the grey embellished ceiling, the chalkboard map of the wine regions and old wooden tables and chairs that makes you feel like you’re mixing a bit of fancy with comfort.

There is a?Buvette?in NYC, in the West Village:?42 Grove St?(between Bedford St &?Bleecker?St)?New York,?NY?10014.?I believe that the lady chef I peeped in the kitchen was?Jody Williams hard at work.
