How can I sum up this massive space along the train tracks in the 18th arrondissement? It certainly has a ?very weekend Williamsburg?vibe; happy people, lots of food, activities and chilling taken seriously. From the?ice-cream van, multiple bars, chicken farm, petanque playing area, flea / thirst shops, DJ rooms, massive commercial dining on benches to even a decent?pizza restaurant.
This free entry communal space was recently opened and already I can see that in time for summer will be a big hit for the hip and trendy crowd. Surrounded by French HLM aka poor people housing, the area seems on the brink of more gentrification. But you can’t stop progress and with such a feel good vibe, can you really hate on the concept?
When I was in Berlin 2 weeks ago, I noted that they have so many cool places like this. Happy to see Paris catching on to popular worldwide culture.
We’ll be going back over the course of the summer. Will you be heading to Ground Control?
