Cheese Shop in Paris: Taka & Vermo

A new cheese shop in the 10th arrondissement, on trendy Rue Faubourg Saint Denis, run by two young cheese makers?Laure Takahashi & Mathieu Vermorel.

We all know that Paris has no shortage of cheese shops, food tours and you can no doubt find some great gifts for your foodie friends even in your local supermarket. But these two wanted to add a different face to the Parisian scene, as was instigated via their KissKissBakBank founding for their maturing cheese cellar.

Taka & Vermo caught my eye while I was eating over at 52 Faubourg, and you all know; I love big cheeses and I cannot lie. So it was no surprise that I stopped by this neatly designed marble space to Instagram some of the cheese, then instantly stroke up some chatter with the super friendly sales staff.

Not only was the d?cor ?nouveau?; sort of what you?d see at any minimalist designed trendy boutique, lots of space and light. In addition to the regular ?fromages? they have a massive selection of my favorite types of cheese: goat and sheep! I’m not a big fan of cows cheese. Check them out if you?re thinking of places to visit and things to do in the Faubourg Saint Denis / Canal Saint Martin hood.

There is a handy guide on how to buy french cheese here,?written by lovely Paris food blogger Clotilde.

By the way have you guys seen the changes going on FSD? The vibrant street is home to some of Paris best places to eat, drink and party, everything from cheap to chic. We have it all covered in a new neighborhood guide coming up. So stay tuned?
