My parisian life

TRAVEL: 24 hours in FRANKFURT GUIDE

Are you on your way to visiting Frankfurt for the first time? We’ve rounded the best place to stay, things to do, places to eat and drink as well as wander around. With the help of my local pal Nina Chu!

I visited Frankfurt for the first?time in November of last year and I was blown away by their local hand-cheese “Handk?se” (most people thinks it’s totally not even cheese, apparently it also has the lowest percentage of fat!) the amount of coffee shops, just how nice people were and how the town is actually small enough to wander around.

You’ll find that the city has hefty plate portions when you go to the traditional dinners. In comparison to Paris everything was cheaper, but also such good quality.

Anyways, I’ll let Nina take over from here.

Let’s get into it shall we?

Traveling to Frankfurt, ladies and gents? Come along with me for a quick and useful guide on the coolest places in town. Be sure to click on the names/ titles if you want to see their Facebook pages for times and other information.

Food & Drinks

Moloko

moloko cocktail frankfurt

Very good cocktails and a nice place to have a good bottle of red wine.

Das Blumen

It?s a very nice unique restaurant in the north oft he city (quarter ?Nordend?). Das Blumen ?is very small, very beautiful and kind of expensive but unique. You get a 5-7 course menu with always one matching wine for each course. The atmosphere is very private and personal. Perfect place for a romantic date 🙂

Club Michelle

A nice secret location in the red light districtyou can get a reservation at that place by registering on their website. to get in you have to ring a bell on an very convenient house and it is on top of a dentist office!

Culture

Lola montez kunstverein

It?s an art gallery with changing exhibitions… the location is under a bridge by the river Main… Kind of hipster but always interesting.

Boutique Hotel

Chez Ima /25h Levi?s Hotel

This hotel is a great place to stay and they have a nice restaurant that’s quite popular?and in summer you can find very sweet rooftop parties?or?open air movie nights on their roof.

Shopping

The Listener

Concept store with a looooot of great brands that you can?t find anywhere else except Berin (Simon and me) and a nice atmosphere… right in the city centre. A two story store and a bar on the top floor??

Coffee

Fein (engl. Fine)

My absolute favorite! It?s an old kiosk on Frankfurt called ?”Wasserh?uschen” or “Trinkhalle” which means water house or drinking hall.? Most of ?the time those places are pretty trash… but this one has its own flair. It’s super tiny and very sweet with lots of outdoor seating… comparable with the “Tia Emma” store you may know.. .it’s the best place for a Sunday cake and a coffee before work for me?

Bitter und Zart

The BEST chocolate and cakes!!

Hope this has given you a nice taste of Frankfurt!

You may know that moving around in Europe is quite easy and cheap??It seems quite easy to fly from Paris with Lufthansa?for 1 hour 15 minutes, only for 90 euros. ?
