However, it’s still tricky to know where to eat around the Louvre, that’s good, cool or even simply a no tourist trap?

All these places are a mix of high and low, some perfect for a coffee pause (Cafe Kitsune) other perfect for a romantic gastronomical dinner (le Grand Vefour).

Le Grand Vefour(17 Rue de Beaujolais, 75001 Paris) is one of the oldest restaurants in Paris and has one of my personal favorite chefs Guy Martin.
It’s also said that “Le Grand Véfour, the first grand restaurant in Paris, France, was opened in the arcades of the Palais-Royal in 1784 by Antoine Aubertot, as the Café de Chartres, and was purchased in 1820 by Jean Véfour…”
Cafe Nemours (Galerie de Nemours, 2 Place Colette, 75001 Paris)is well known for its terrace seating and a great place to have breakfast or lunch – just beside Palais Royal and the Colonnes de Buren.

Then walk towards, Colonnes de Buren for wandering into the Palais Royal gardens and the arcades (Galerie de Valois, 75001 Paris Galerie de Montpensier).
Galeries Valois is under the arcade in Palais Royal and offered shopping with the likes of Rick Owens, Fabre, Jérôme Dreyfuss (127 Galerie de Valois, 75001 Paris), Acne, and Stella McCartney.
Kitsune Cafe is a great place to have artisanal coffee and enjoy a pause in the gardens (READ REVIEW OF CAFE HERE)
Verjus (Address: 52 Rue de Richelieu, 75001 Paris) is one of the best wine bars and restaurants in Paris
