November is the quietest time of the year in Paris! The leaves have fallen, and the cooler, rainier weather has set in. If you’re planning a trip in November, it’s the perfect time of year to explore cute cafés and museums!
You’ll for sure want to pack a coat and lots of layers, winters are cold in Paris!
We have all the best places to eat, drink, stay, and even have some recommendations for activities and what to do on Thanksgiving!
EAT:
La Rivieria: For a cozy feel and good Mediterranean food, try La Riviera, located on Rue La Fayette.

A great place to enjoy a good Pizza a few stops from the central metro station Gare du Nord.
Le Procope: For a more traditional (and heavy!) Paris meal, head over to Le Procope, located near Saint-Germain-des-Prés. One of the oldest restaurants in Paris that were frequented by Moliere and Voltaire! The red and gold decor gives off the best fall-in-Pairs vibes!
DRINK:
Bar Combat: Located on Rue de Belleville near Montmartre, Combat has delicious cocktails, as well as shareable small plates.

COFFEE:
Le 50 : For coffee this month, try Le 50, just down the street from Bar Combat. The coffee shop is traditional and cozy–perfect for a chilly November day! Run by the same group from Belleville Bruleries!

Moxy Paris: Looking for a modern, different place to stay for your trip to Paris? Look no further than Moxy! Owned by Marriott hotels, Moxy is a fun and funky option just across the street from the Marche Bastille!

NOT TO MISS:
Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris (MAM): This newly re-opened museum is home to contemporary art. It’s a great place to peruse on a rainy day! This is one of Paris free museums, so perfect if you’re staying on a budget!
Palais de Tokyo: Located right next door to the MAM, Palais de Tokyo is another museum dedicated to contemporary art. Thier bookshop is an amazing place to also gift shop or pick up a few coffee table books on art, travel or Paris.
Galerie Nathalie Obadia: A small gallery located on Rue de Cloître Saint-Merri, this space is home to two contemporary exhibits from Mickaline Thomas (hurry–this exhibit ends November 16!) and Sarkis (until December 21).
Paris Photo: From November 7-10, the Grand Palais is hosting their annual Paris Photo, where photographers from all over the world celebrate their own contemporary photography as well as that from the nineteenth and twentieth century.

Beaujolais: Beaujolais is a red wine made in the Beaujolais region of France. Every year, it is released for sale on the third Thursday of November. This year, that’s November 21. For a full list of places to buy, click the link!
Toussaint: It is helpful to note that Toussaint (November 1st), is a national holiday and most places are closed. Plan your days accordingly!
Salon du Chocolat: From October 30 to November 3, Salon du Chocolat celebrates anything and everything chocolate–by far one of the most delicious activities you could plan!

Celebrating Thanksgiving in Paris? Below are some recommendations to enjoy this American holiday while you’re here!
Treize au Jardin: Think you won’t be able to find Thanksgiving dinner in Paris? Think again! You can get a full Thanksgiving spread at Treize au Jardin! Enjoy all your favorite Thanksgiving foods, such as turkey and gravy, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese…the list goes on.
