The Ultimate Hotel Guide from a local  + Where to stay close to Sacre Coeur

Montmartre doesn’t have as many hotels as other Parisian neighborhoods like Saint-Germain-des-Prés, but what this charming village on the hill lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality and character.

Looking for the perfect place to stay in the heart of Paris’ most enchanting neighborhood? As a Montmartre local, here are some of my top hotel picks where you can soak up the local atmosphere while indulging in a stay that suits your budget. From stylish boutique hotels to budget-friendly hostels for savvy student travelers, there’s something for everyone. We’ve been living here for over 7 years now, after having an apartment in other neighborhoods, Montmartre has been the perfect home for us!

Montmartre is right next to Pigalle, and I’ll be following this up with a similar list for Pigalle. If you choose to stay there, you’ll be just a five-minute walk from Montmartre. Both neighborhoods are brimming with artistic history, vibrant nightlife, and stunning city views. Whether you’re here to explore Montmartre’s winding streets, admire Sacré-Cœur, or experience Pigalle’s eclectic charm, this guide will help you find the best places to stay nearby.
