The best March things to do in Paris

The weather in Paris during March remains cooler in mornings/evenings and warms up slightly mid day. Airfare costs remain low and tourist season will begin to increase towards the end of the month. It’s a spectacular time to visit and indulge in all that Paris has to offer!

Hotels will have a lower cost in March compared to the warmer months in Paris, but once Spring has sprung prices will begin to slightly increase. Speaking of warmer weather and spring blossoms, I’ve rounded up a top list of things to do in Paris during spring time. So, continue reading for everything there is to do in Paris this March.

With this being such a vibrant month with an abundance of travelers coming to witness the first blossoms of spring, I had to give you my personal list of favorites. 

Here are our top 5 hotels for the month

2. Hotel Monge is situated in one of the most historic districts of Paris, Quartier Latin. This hotel will provide you with the rich culture of Paris. 

3. Saint James Paris with stunning parisian architecture, carefully curated decor, and  a gourmet restaurant this is an accommodation not to be missed. 

4. Le Pavillon de la Reine and Spa in the heart of Le Marias this hotel is perfect for that spring reset after a dreary winter. 

5. Shangri-La Paris if you’re seeking a luxurious stay in Paris look no further. The Shangri-La Paris features a mix of french and asian aesthetics in its decor and is only a short distance away from the Trocadero.

Here are our top 5 restaurants for March

1. Chez Julien, Paris, once a 19th century bakery and situated right along the Seine River, is the perfect restaurant to enjoy springtime in Paris! It continues to serve classic French cuisine with the decor to match it.  

2. Aux deux Amis , if you’re wanting to enjoy some live music, people watching, and a vibrant atmosphere this is your spot! Serving small bites along with great drinks this restaurant is the perfect way to sit and enjoy the spring weather. 

3. Hotel Particulier  is a hidden gem in Montmartre complete with an intimate  bar downstairs along with a beautiful garden. This old chateau is the perfect place for an exquisite French dinner with friends. 

4. Pink Mamma is an italian restaurant on most people’s list when they visit Paris. Owned by the renowned Big Mama group, Pink Mama is an italian fare with everything from pizza, pasta, and an irresistible tiramisu. With its many levels you are sure to have a different experience each time you visit. 

Activities for Springtime in Paris

Outdoor Activities to do in Paris

  1. Take a 5 course dinner cruise along the Seine, and surround yourself with the beauty of Paris by night. 
  1. Find an outdoor Terrace or coffee shop and immerse yourself in Parisian culture.  Some great outdoor cafes consist of KB Cafe, Ola’s, The Cafeotheque of Paris, Sylon de Montmartre, and Strada coffee 
  1. See the Eiffel Tower sparkle in the evening.  

Paris March Weather

– Cooler mornings and evenings with warmer afternoons. March is a month in Paris when you can experience all four seasons in one day. 

The temperatures in Paris during March: being the end of winter and beginning of Spring it  can get as high as 78 degrees F (26 C) and as low as 44-degrees F (7 C).

What to pack for March in Paris

Think Layers my loves! – easy transitional pieces from cooler temperatures to warmer temperatures 

a good Rain Jacket is a good idea, or a Light Coat, even though I’m still wearing my wool Zara coat. Think Sweaters, Jeans, comfortable sneakers, boots and accessories like Sunglasses and Scarves (don’t forget this Parisian staple)
