Les Parisiennes de Kiraz is presently showing in Paris at the beautiful Musee Carnavalet (Carnavalet Museum). I highly recommend it for a humorous retrospective on Parisian women of the 60s, and is one of the first major shows chronicling the work of Edmond Kiraz.
Kiraz humerus caricature drawings of long legged, pouted lipped Parisian women are well known to the Parisian public and has been internationally dispersed by various magazines and books such as the French magazine,Jours de France, he use to work for when he began in the 50s to his more erotic works for Playboy magazine.
The exhibition runs from 14 May to September 21.
The museum is an old mansion that used to be the home of french writer and aristocrat Madame de S?vign?.
