PARIS WEEKEND TO DO ? ( December 14 – 15)

Oh the chill is in Paris this weekend. I know many of us will be tempted to curl up in bed for the sake of warmth wishing we had our personal 5 star chef at our disposal. But better than that – we have Paris at our footsteps, fingertips and close to our lips!
This weekend why not take a stroll in the Marais area; an old jewish neighborhood that’s rich with culture and an eclectic mix of old and new. Like Jewish delis ( like ) and the best of Parisian high street fashion (like Sandro, Maje, Comptoir Cotonnier etc).

BRUNCH at?Covered Market at ?Le March? des Enfants Rouges?

Buy yourself some flowers then, choose from over 8 different restaurants / food stands in the oldest covered market in Paris. ?They have Japanese, Moroccan, Italian, French, Caribbean… Easy to miss if you’re not a local, but one of the best that Paris has to offer in terms of conviviality and diversity.

STROLL THROUGH NORTH MARAIS

Next door,?Peep into COMME UN ROMAN – it is just next door the covered market and is one of my all time fave tiny bookstores in Paris for coffee table books.

walk over for COFFEE at?FONDATION for one of the best coffees in the area. Not the standard burnt stuff you get at a typical bistro. Fondation is a real espresso bar, run by guys who speak English and pastries from Emperor Norton are delish.

NEAR BY:??The Park in front of the City hall of the 3rd Arr (Marie du 3eme) for the kiddies to run around a bit,?The Broken Arm concept store?that is one part coffee shop and one massive part fashion powerhouse and?Cafe Pinson

FASHION EXHIBITION – MUST SEE at the Museum of Paris, MUSEE CARNAVALET has an amazing temporary exhibition of?Alice Alleaume, first sales woman from 1912 to 1923 at Ch?ruit, 21, place Vend?me.

Until ?March 16th, 2014 with the collaboration of the fashion museum of Paris;?Palais Galliera.

?”Roman d?une garde-robe, le chic d?une parisienne de la Belle Epoque aux ann?es 30.”?

Musee Carnavalet: 23 Rue de S?vign?, 75003 Paris, France

Later have a DRINK at Le Progres and live like a local by people watching. They also serve traditional french cuisine and is great to eat out with freinds.
