PARIS ? TO DO WEEKEND (OCT 26/ 27)

Are you planning for the perfect Parisian weekend? Here’s what?s on the calendar of things to do this weekend. I’ve complied a list of diverse options as usual from things you can do solo or with the kids if you have a family. Remember you can send me an email of things you’d like added to the Weekend list in the future.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON / FAMILY STROLL– @The Canal.
If you have friends, parents or grand parents visiting from out of town, it’s always nice to take them for a walk along the canal on a Sunday afternoon. Start at the impressive and recently remodeled Place de la Republique. Then walk 5 minutes over to the canal along quai de Jemmapes. Here you can enjoy seeing some of Paris tiny boutiques such as Antoine & Lilly and Sandro, but also feel the energy of Parisian families enjoying their Sunday with a stroll. For coffee lovers walk over to Ten belles for a cappuccino, then try lunch in the area at Hotel Du Nord, that has a vintage Parisian decor or Chez Prune that has a more relaxed and typical atmosphere.
Finish the afternoon by impressing your guests with having tea and perhaps a live musical performance at the hidden ‘everyone is welcome’ treasure that is Le Comptoir General.

KIDS – @Mon Premier Festival.
It’s the Toussaint vacation for those of you parents who live in Paris. The kids are out for a good two weeks, and if you haven’t yet figured what to do with the kiddies I’ll be doing another post specifically for that! So stay tuned. For this weekend though be sure to look at the options of films broken down by age for the tiny tots at the Mon Premier Festival. Over 100 films for the young and old at only 4 Euros each. Oct 23rd to 29th.

ART EVENT (not-to-be-missed) – @FIAC.
Art buffs unite for the 40th annual FIAC is happening this weekend. 184 galleries from 25 countries awaits you at the Grand Palais. You can also enjoy many of the outdoor installations that will run throughout the city such as in the Jardin de Tulleries / Tulleries Gardens. After all some art should be free to experience right!

DRINK – @Dirty Dick.
If you’re visiting Paris, no doubt you’ll be in the Pigalle or Montmartre area for sightseeing reasons. If you want to relax after a day or evening of sightseeing, grab a massive cocktail at one of Paris’ weirdest but coolest Tiki Bar, Dirty Dick.

CLUB + NIGHTLIFE – @Candelaria.
Don’t be fooled by the long waiting line out front at the small entrance space to this Mexican taqueria in the Marais. Rub pass the trendy 20-somethings in the front or order your food and head to the back where you can find a dark room filled with a party crowd and DJs visiting from all over the world. See their DJ Party schedule on their Facebook page.
