My parisian life

Anti-Cafe – Coworking in Paris

I get many requests from my traveling readers about some of the best places to work or get free wifi in Paris. And I’ve recently discovered this little gem of a wonder where you can hang out with start-up and geek types, or simply find a place with decent coffee to work on your laptop, Anti-cafe is the place to discover.

It’s centrally located ( near Centre George Pompidou and Les Halles).

The concept is quite simple – you enter you get a card that registers your time. You can have all you can eat ( there is cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats but no savouries) and all you can drink ( teas, coffee, etc)…for one hour its 4 euros. For all day you pay 12Euros. For each additional hour it’s 3 Euros.

There are baristas available to make the more complicated hot drink stuff – like cappuccino, you just tell them and it’s done in a friendly jiffy.

The co-working vibe was great as it was a nice mix of French and non -French folks scattered on all two floors.

Not bad right?

I only went in the afternoon. Could you see hanging out here all day? I’m not so sure, as tempting as the offering is, they don’t serve savory or warm food – either of which I need for lunch. ?Most folks probably stay only a few hours anyways if they’re freelancers.
