My parisian life

REVIEW: Les Bancs Publics in the 19th

A very good little restaurant close to La Villette with a massive terrace just along the canal. The service?was friendly and the food was typical brasserie style – but with great attention to detail and lots of variety. You’ll find something for meat lovers and vegetarians from pasta, steak to salads. ?Most meals will have you feeling full and at around 13 Euros, you can’t beat that for fresh produce.

I took a pasta dish – Linguine in a spinach sauce with?trout eggs. On this day they also?had Smoked tuna that looked really good (my neighbor was really enjoying his -and I’d love to try this next time!) The Linguine was decent but I wasn’t wowed over by the flavor.?But I have very high standard for my pasta.

Perfect for an afternoon lunch or evening out with friends. The ambiance is “easy going” and cool with a mix of locals and few visitors.
There was an extensive wine list to select from too!
Oh and the Pain Perdue aka French Toast was a total surprise! Tasted more like a yummy pudding with lots of cream. We’ll be back…
