There’s something to be said about the emptying out of Paris in August each year! At the beginning of July, your friends start to ask where you are going on vacation, not “if” you are going on vacation. So you see my drift? It’s such a part of the culture to take at least 3 weeks off, that you don’t want to be stuck guessing what restaurants and cafes are open in the summer period.
So I’ve rounded up a list of some places you can bet on. Things to get into this month: food, drink, hotels, art and more. it’s a super quick list (but hopefully effective).
If you’re coming to Paris for the first time let me show you around with one of my tours – of my favoriste neighbourhood, The Marais where I lived for 6 years and Montmartre where I presently live. You can see more here.
Also wanted to say a big thank you to eveyone that came out to our July Meet up in the Park, where we met for yoga and picnic. I’m beyond words with the community that we have managed to build online and off. We are all so kick-ass and kind! I really look forward to meeting you all here in real life 🙂
My son and I recently went to Versailles to take part in a baking workshop by Molly J Wilk and it was one of the most pleasurable expereinces we’ve ever done as a mom and son duo! We made the french pastry Mille Feuille ( photos here on insgram of the results) and we were in love with Molly’s cheerful personality and expert tips. My son has always dreamt of being a baker and I have to say this class with Molly showed him that it can be fun too!
