How to get to La Defence Arena and Paris Safety?
- It’s really easy to move around Paris by metro, uber or taxi. My personal preference is walking, cycling then taking the metro. Because La Defence Arena is a bit on the skirts of Paris (not so central, and actually not Paris at all but a little town called Nantere. Here you find the business district of Paris, like our version of Wall Street) you can take the line 1 metro which is a super fast line connecting many typical touristy sports such as monuments and museums.
- So take line 1 to the La Defence train station and walk for about 12 minutes and you’re there! Paris La Défense Arena 99 Jard. de l’Arche, 92000 Nanterre
- In general, be very aware of your surroundings while staying in Paris, we have lots of pickpockets that target tourists in the metros and around the monuments,
- I use the Google Maps app to get to my locations in Paris – for real-time info best routes, walking, cycling, metro or Uber….
Weather
May in Paris temperatures are mild. So you can pack warm(ish) clothing and maybe just bring a light jacket to be on the safe side as this is the month when the weather goes from freezing to hot!

Activities to do and things to see
Just a few suggestions of activities that you could also do if you are in Paris for a concert. There is always so much art, culture, food, and fashion at any time of the year in Paris. Plus if you have a few extra days you can make some day trips to some iconic places in France that are easy to get to from Paris, like Versailles, or visit London on a 2-hour ride of the Eurostar train.
First-day activities
Some of the things I love to suggest to get off the jet lag and take things a bit easy on the first day is to do a boat ride or do a tour. My favorite Seine River Boat company is Les Vedettes du Pont Neuf because it’s so centrally located right near by Notre Dame also they have smaller boats compared to the bigger companies which are more enjoyable in my opinion.
Versailles
Louvre Museum
Tour Marais
Tour Montmartre
Tour Flea Markets
Champagne day trip
London day trip
