Broken Biscuit

The pastries here are literally to die for! This is the first coffee shop I’ve been to where all of the pastries look cookbook ready. And no wonder,  one of the pastry chef has formal training from the elite french cooking institution Ferrandi.

In the morning they serve granola and scones for around 3 euros, at lunch time try their salads or sandwiches average 6.50 euros.

Beans from Brûlerie de Belleville.

Shakespeare and Co cafe

it’s finally here! After much talk this side of town gets a new coffee spot with a magnificent view of Notre Dame cathedral. The iconic english bookshop has been a staple in the Parisian Communitty for year and I’m so happy to see that they’re working with some great suppliers like Bob’s bake shop for the healthy food and Cafe Lomi for the beans. The perfect place to get lost in a good book over some good coffee!

Ob-La-Di

The most instagramable of all cafe – but seriously go for the good vibes and coffee too guys! It’s a small space, and I love that this “forces” you to talk to you neighbors. Making the “making friends in Paris” tasks a lot easier as you smile over rubbing elbows. You must try the moist granola banana cookies!

Cafe Oberkampf

Simple and good is how I like to describe Cafe Oberkampf. Even the menu is minimalist; some avocado toast, granola, and do you guys know what shakshuka is? Eh emm, well its basically poached eggs in tomato sauce (you can add more things too of course), and let me tell you it’s so yummy!  6, 11, or 16 Euros depending how many eggs you’d like. I’d highly recommend it. And wait! La PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE has to be Franks cakes,  by @cakeboyparis like the lemon cake that believe it or not actually taste like real lemon and not some concentrated lemon flavoring! Beans roasted by Coutume.
