July in Paris always sees the new wave of Francophones entering the city, just as the us local Parisians start to pack for our summer vacations when we empty out the city for the south or generally warmer pastures. The rues of Montmartre and Montparnasse are still yours for the picking with lots of new cool places to discover, and of course I couldn’t do a paris city guide without including some of the old charm now could I?

To get us started – L?ete , summer as the french call it is best enjoyed outdoors ladies and gentlemen and we?ll do just that with a few celebrations like the annual Bal , or rather Dance of?14th of July where all the Pompiers, or rather Fire Stations in every neighborhood open up for the entire night of party for the whole family with live music or djs and street food. ?My favorite is the one in the 10th and 19th close to Canal de L’ourcq.

Market setting with the hipsters of the marais, Breton stripe wearing Parisians and tourists alike. You can enjoy the most authentic Italian, Moroccan and Korean food from the stalls that have a few seats scattered. When the weather is nice it?s one of the best places to eat then go for a walk or coffee close by at Cafe Pinson, Fondation, The Broken arm or even for an old cafe vibe try Cafe Charlot.
