We recently sat down with the team at one of our favorite hangout spots in Paris, for great coffee food and music, The Hood! They have just restructured their menu and events listing so what better time to head on over, fill up your belly and spirits. They share with us their Parisian Life; about their changes, how to balance work and life and more... What is the inspiration behind your food and coffee? The point is everyone leaves with tasty food from the menu and had a go[...]
Upon the invitation of my dear friend Frank, I stopped into speciality coffee shop Cuppa Cafe. Located near Musee d'Orsay for some great coffee on a quiet little back street in the 7th arrondissement run by owners Sarah and David. This spot wins on everything homemade and high quality. Lord knows I don't make it over to this side of Paris enough! But it was so worth it - the tiny cafe was so quaint and peaceful I can't wait to go back - and obviously have to share with you loves. You'll have lots of light coming in from the massive wall to wall glass walls (that will open up to a terrace in warm weather). For right now (they've only been open 2 weeks) they don't serve hot food as the kitchen is not fully set up. But we did enjoy a really nice croissant and coffee.[...]
Abattoir Vegetal is a new vegan and vegetarian coffee shop slash restaurant in Paris' 18th hood on Rue Ramey. Close to Sacre Coeur, they serve daily veggie meals and fresh squeezed detox juices and the coffee is really good in Paris, roasted from Coutume. A winning combination these days in Paris - vegan, gluten free and organic. But much more than a cool place is the focus on the tiny details that make the restaurant feel welcoming like the tiny flowers on the marble top table and the gold cha[...]
