Streets in Paris: Quick Christmas Shopping – Rue Montmartre
One street to Christmas shop in Paris – not in the Marais!
So Christmas is here again in Paris !! There are lots of really cool Parisian brands that have the French flair and Parisian chic to be found on rue Montmartre – as soon as you get out the metro at either Les halles or Etienne Marcel (line ) – take a 5 mins minute walk away from the metro and get lost in my old neilazghbourhood and favorite streets of Paris.
See map here! ALL ADDRESSES below on MAP!!!
At the end of rue Montmartre, you find Eglise Saint Eustache -one of my favorite churches in Paris because it’s always empty and it’s beautiful to just walk around in the meditative silence of the space they have a cool artwork from artists such as Keith Harring.
Just outside the church is also where you can find one of the best Christmas tree markets in Paris at Les Halles.
Anyways all around is a big underground mall at Chatles Les Halles (line 4), and above ground, we have some of the best shopping streets such as rue Montmartre, Rue Étienne Marcel, rue Montorgueil, Rue Tiqquetonne etc
Today I did some Insta stories of rue Montmartre.

Hello,
Sorry, Les Halles is not pronounced “laze-al” as you have noted. It is pronounced more like Lay-al. A liaison is not used with an aspirated H.
