The 10 Most Romantic Places To Take a Photo in Paris
Paris is quite possibly one of the most romantic cities in the world. With so many beautiful areas to get photos, it can be hard to narrow them down for a photoshoot, whether it’s for your wedding, engagement, or just for Instagram! Never fear, we’ve got our top ten favorites right here.
Pont de Bir-Hakeim
Right on the Seine River, Pont de Bir-Hakeim offers a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, very close to the Passy and Bir-Hakeim metro stops.
Pont-Alexandre III
Quite possibly one of the most recognizable bridges crossing over the Seine, Pont-Alexandre III not only offers another beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, it also lends a view to the Palais-Royal and Hôtel des Invalides. The heavily gilded details to the bridge lend the perfect Parisian touch. Get off at the Invalides or the Champs-Élysées-Clemanceau metro stops and you’re just paces away.
The Shangri-La Hotel
The Shangri-La Hotel’s Krug Terrace offers one of the best rooftop views of the Eiffel Tower! During the summer months, they have a rooftop bar open at select times of the day. The Shangri-La Hotel (if you’re not already staying at it), is easily accessible from the Iéna metro stop.
A Boat Along the Seine
One of the best ways to take in all the beautiful views of Paris is a boat cruise on the Seine River. Try the Bateaux Parisiens Dinner Cruise! The Eiffel Tower lights up on the hour every night, and the perfect vantage point is on a cruise. To reach Bateaux Parisiens, get off at the Alma-Marceau metro stop.
Steps at Trocadero
Another good place to get the Eiffel Tower picture you’ve always been wanting is the steps at Trocadéro. Get off at the Trocadéro metro stop to access this picturesque view!
The Louvre
A classic place for a Paris photo, the Louvre pyramid entrance combines centuries of different architecture styles. Get off at the Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre to access this iconic area!
Garden at Musée Rodin
My favorite spot that I’ve found so far in Paris, the Musée Rodin is not only a fascinating museum to visit, its gardens are an ideal place to take romantic photos. Featuring the famous “Thinker” sculpture by Rodin, the Musée Rodin’s gardens are also not as crowded as other areas may be, so take your time to roam around and find your favorite spots! The Musée Rodin is most easily accessed from the Saint-François Xavier metro stop.
Chapelle Expiatoire
Dedicated to King Louis XVI of France and his wife Marie-Antoinette, Chapelle Expiatoire is the perfect backdrop for wedding and engagement photos. It’s also easily accessed from the Saint-Augustin metro stop.
The Galerie Vivienne
One of Paris’ covered passageways, the Galerie Vivienne offers a beautiful backdrop for pictures as well as plenty of cafés surrounding it for a coffee or lunch break. It’s located close to the Bourse metro stop.
The Parc des Buttes-Chaumont
Located a little north of Paris in the 19th Arondissement, the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is a hidden gem. It offers views that wouldn’t necessarily be associated with Paris, but with the same romantic feel. Get a picture at the bridge or at the temple. Get off at the Buttes-Chaumont metro stop.
Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or just want a few pictures for Instagram, these places will make it easy to capture wonderful memories while you stay in Paris.
