5. FOOD
Bouillon Chartier
This authentic restaurant offers high-quality French food at unbelievable prices. With steaks starting at just 8 euros, and confit de canard at 9, starters range from 1-3 euros, with deserts only marginally more. Perhaps one of the only places you can eat a quality 3 course meal for under 20 euros, head down early to avoid the queue – but even if you get stuck in it, it?s well worth the wait.

6. DRINK
Earth?s Kitchen
Offering a variety of trendy tapas, this popular bar is just a short walk from the busy opera area, and although at first glance it looks like the prices might comply, it offers its high-quality cocktails at just 3 euros each for girls on Mondays and Wednesdays. Sexist this may be, but you?re unlikely to find drinks as good, as cheaply anywhere else in the city.
