Quai de Bourbon on Ile St. Louis, is where we see Gil at the party meeting Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald…
A light walk along this quai we have an amazing view of the back of Notre Dame Cathedral and also Square Jean XXIII?at the back (where we Adriana reads to Gil from her diary).?

Where you can now have a coffee in the new coffee shop of the famous English bookshop, Shakespeare and co (where we see Gil browsing through books).?

?
You can stop for a meal or drinks at the tiny but richly decorated Cafe Saint Regis.?
6 Rue Jean du Bellay, 75004 Paris 4e arrondissement, France

Not far from here we have Restaurant Paul where a horse and carriage picks up Adriana and Gil, at Place Dauphine square on the other bigger island; Ile de la Cite. There are many other little restaurant here on a quite part of the city, that is also picturesque and sometimes you see people playing petanque.?

We see Deyrolle ?used for the wedding party, on Rue du Bac which is excellent for shopping, but the Rue du Bac chapel/?Chapel of the Miraculous Medal?is also not well-known but a real experience. However my favorite place nearby is a few minutes walk to Musee d’Orsay. There are also a few well-known French eateries around like Le Deux Magot which is really expensive for what it is – but the hot chocolate is seriously one of the best and the view and feeling sitting on the terrace give you first row seat to Parisian people watching (especially during fashion week!).?Ralph’s?and Angelina is also a few minutes walk away.?

Gil runs into Adriana again in Montmartre – Rue de la Chevalier close to Sacre?Coeur?church. Around here there are many?tourist?traps to avoid – but one of the best?unconventional?museum?is La Halles Saint-Pierre for?contemporary,?experimental?and?graffiti?art inside they have a cool cafe to?take a break or even have a decent lunch and the?book shop has trinkets,?gifts and books for all ages.?

Also a few feet away at the bottom of Sacre Coeur is one of my favorite shops – Fragonard, the famous french perfumer from the Grasse region.? Great to get soaps, perfumes for myself but also a wonderful place to get souvenirs and gifts that are not the typical c things you’d find on the street.?

If the weather is nice in the summer time it’s very pleasant to have a picnic on the lawn below the?church, in that?case grab a lunch to go – a wholesome baguette sandwich or quiche from bakery Boulangerie Raphaelle, they have won the best baguette in 2011 and their desserts are divine.?
?
For a good sit down meal such as a romantic dinner I’d walk over to Le Gabin – a tiny little typical French restaurant loved by locals. The service is always?friendly.?
