Five Cute and Alternative Cafés to Discover on Your Next Trip to Paris
In a city famous for its incredible food, it can be hard to narrow down your search for fun and delicious cafés to try! We’ve got our top five cafés that have a more coffee-shop style atmosphere and that are completely Instagram-able. Bon appetit!
1. Le Peloton
A coffee shop with great coffee, waffles, and bike tours? Sounds like a winner! This small café is located close to the Seine River, perfect for a stroll after you have a coffee and their special gaufres (waffles!). If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also register for one of their Paris or Versailles bike tours.
2. Republique of Coffee
Right off the Republique metro stop, this slightly 90s-grunge-themed café is a personal favorite of mine. Republique offers delicious coffee, pastries, and a brunch-style sit down menu. Not only do they have healthier options (hello, elevated avocado toast), their eggs and pancakes do not disappoint!
3. Fragments
Known for their fresh produce, Fragments incorporates a rustic and retro atmosphere with good coffee and food. Once again, Fragments presents a brunch-like menu, with delicious eggs and avocado toast.
4. Coutume Cafe
With several different locations, Coutume Cafe is a more traditional coffee shop, serving coffee as well as pastries (and some locations even have pancakes).
Au Pied de Cochon
A more traditional Parisian brasserie, Au Pied de Cochon serves all your favorite Paris dishes, specializing in seafood. This cafe is close to the Louvre so it’s the perfect place to stop for lunch after a morning of sightseeing.
