Coming to Paris? I’ve got you!
If you’re celiac or have a gluten allergy and are planning a trip to Paris, this guide is your new best friend! When I first moved to the city, gluten-free options were few and far between. Today, though, the city has embraced gluten-free living with open arms, offering a wealth of options that make eating out both safe and delicious.
As someone who lives in Paris, eats and tours for a living, I understand the importance of finding the right spots, especially when dietary restrictions are in play. While I do eat gluten, I often enjoy low or no-gluten meals as part of managing a fibroid condition through my diet. With that in mind, let me take you on a tour of the best gluten-free bakeries, pâtisseries, and restaurants in Paris right now. And if you feel like something’s missing, please share your own experiences in the comments—we’re all about spreading the word!
There’s a handy map at the end of this post to help you find these spots easily.
How to Say You Have a Gluten Allergy in French
To make your dining experience smoother, here’s how to express that you have a gluten allergy:
- Je suis allergique au gluten (I am allergic to gluten).
- Avez-vous des options sans gluten? (Do you have gluten-free options?)
