THRIFT SHOPPING AT PORTE DE VANVES Porte de Vanves has one of Paris Best flea markets, it's a medium sized treasure chest mix of bargain and antique items. If you're visiting Paris and want to go to a local flea market here you've no doubt heard of Marche aux Puce St. Ouen at Porte de Cliancourt - but today I want to share with you another flea market - it's a smaller less popular flea market in the south of Paris 14th arrondissement called Marche aux Puce de la Porte de Vanves. For this installation of "the plate": I stopped into Hotel Amour this past Sunday after a brief "tour de force" of the neighborhood Flea market shopping along Rue des Martyrs in the 9th arr. Mama Shelter Paris is more than a trendy Parisian Hotel ? I?ve discovered it has a cool restaurant, terrace and cozy ambiance to lunch, dine or take a break in the Pere Lachaise area. Last week I had the opportunity to circulate around the 20th arrondisement of Paris a bit. In between meetings I was starving and trying to find a place to lunch off the hunger pains, and Mama Shelter popped up on my iPhone GPS in my search to find the nearest restaurant. I've heard of Mama Shelter befor[...]
