Paris New York – a good burger and more
After 6 years Paris has taken a close second to my favorite city in the world: NYC. And funnily enough last night I dropped into a resutarnt called Paris New York. Along Rue Faubourg St. Denis I waited on a friend in front of our regular hang out – Chez Jeanette.
But I was drawn over to this new place across the street by the broadway style lights they have on the entrance – and of course any place fit to look like a movie set is fit to have me in it! This bright light enigma is Paris New York. They serve a killer burgers, mean fries and lets just say we did some damage with their selection (small but on point) of Chilean wines.
Obviously after a minute of lurking around, and watching the people coming and going and scrupulously examining the menu I cozied myself up on the terrace to a glass of Las Nina 2011 and enjoyed the first warm March Parisian night and all the pretty little things in sight – it is fashion Week and it was great to see so many familiar faces pass by.
The guys at Paris New York seemed to have narrowed down what burger-lovers and coffee-lovers like – simplicity in our meals and drinks. So don’t expect a full menu here – the focus is on the Burgers. Do expect to get a tightly edited suggestion of classic and neo-burgers, sides, deserts, alcohol and coffee (will go back soon to try the coffee shop experience!).

The wine list was small – 3 choices each of red and white but it was a quirky feel with categories such as “cool” and. “very cool”…
This new burger restaurant slash coffee shop certainly had the gamot of choices for the fat burger aficionado – Big beefy juicy burgers with a twist with names like the “Smoky Blue” made with Beef from the breton region (b?uf Breton Pie Noir)+ stilton blue cheese + confit d’onions.
Most burgers average around 11 euros and there is a choice of chicken burgers, vegetarian burgers accompanied by sausage and cheese fries.
For now I can say expect a simple menu focused on a good burger, good wine (but limited selection)
Mixed crowd of sexy couples, hipsters and geeks.
Perfect if you just want to have a drink on a terrace and people watch.
