Cafe Marie Stuart
Cafe Marie stuart located on rue montorgueil is one of the best cafes on this “typical” Parisian street that’s flooded with locals and people visiting from out of town. It’s a great place to chill and people watch like a Parisian.
They have 2 floors in a small space but most people never venture downstairs except for the purpose of using the restrooms.
I’ve been going here for 6 years and I’ve had the pleasure of having tried “almost” everything on the menu and seen the staff rotate but the vibe and liveliness of the restaurant still remains in tack.
The red and white table clothes add a certain French post card touch to our dining experience. The best seats are the ones facing the street where you’ll get great sunlight shibin in around 9:20am during the summer months, or on the terrace which is just as big as the resturant itself- and this is what most people go for as rue montorgueil is a delight to have a drink or dine on a terrace.
This specific evening we were a group of four including my son, we started with some glasses of Rosee and white wine. Ordered a Caesar Salad, Croque Monsuier, Tuna Steak and a “Menu Enfant” / Kids meal.
Drinks are around 4.50 Eu
Meals average 15 Eu

Stayed there a couple of years back and loved the atmosphere. Great place to go for a drink and a bit in the evening and enjoy Parisian life. It has a 1950s style which makes it very authentic, with 2 big portraits of a charismatic man with a big mustache – I suppose a French actor or similar. Does anyone know who he actually is? Many thanks
