THINGS TO DO IN PARIS : [September 2019]
The weather in Paris has gotten a bit chilly on some days of late, so you may want to pack a light jacket if you’re planning on arriving soon. Who knows it may not stay chilly, but you’ll be prepared for your trip. The leaves have started to fall off the trees here.
September we have the traditional returning of Parisians from vacation and the kids going back to school. La Rentree – sort of like a new year here ( like they have some calendars that start in September ..hahaha!) It’s a big deal.
The city is feeling energized and out of its summer slumber.
As usual here’s my pick of what’s to eat, drink, see and do this month.
If you’d like me to help you plan your trip I do Travel Itineraries (other areas in France too!)
If you’re coming to Paris you can book me for a guided walking tour here

EAT
Do you want to have a very French meal in Paris?
Relais l’entrecôte Saint Germain des Près is an institution. They have the best Steak Frites in Paris. You may have to wait a while in line, but you won’t regret it. Or skip the line completely if you go with a pregnant friend …hahaha. Not the best place if you’re a vegetarian – for the obvious reasons.
Also, try their amazing desserts like the profiterole
Le Relais de L’Entrecôte Restaurant
DRINK
Chambre Noir
Has a great selection of natural wines from various regions of France and other parts of Europe (We had a “crazy crazy” from Germany). You have small shareable plates and everything’s a vegetarian or seafood option, a really great ambiance that is somewhat “hip” and the team does also speak English. So a really good place to know if you’re coming to Paris and you’re a natural wine lover.
Address: 82 Rue de la Folie Méricourt, 75011 Paris
STAY
I discovered Villa Beaumarche because of the Hidden Jazz Club event in collaboration with Airbnb this month. What an amazing night of jazz!
I think it’s just one of the cutest little hidden hotels in the Marais; super central location very close to Places des Vosges, is also close to the Merci boutique and Maison Plisson. They have an indoor garden that lends well to small group events too. Wonderful location and great staff.
